Heroin Diaries: Pg. 360-413

Throughout Heroin Diaries Nikki's addiction is slowly killing him. As readers we see something bad coming because of his drug use. Nikki is still trying to overcome his past, but is reluctant to talk, or express his emotion about his childhood. Only in his journal due we see what Nikki needs "I'm done, I'm fried  and I don't care. My heart is broken from my childhood. I'm worn to the bone from being driven like a slave and I've lost my will to do anything but fade...please..."(Page 375). His pain and suffering were only healed unfortunately with him basically dying. Once Nikki came to his reality his realization of these drugs are going to kill me came later. Finally, what we all wanted for the sake of Nikki's health is for him to confront his demons. He committed to his sobriety and admitted to his mistakes along the way which was a big step for him. Death Note: Post Three

After finishing Death note it kept me wanting more. This is because of the intriguing characters of Light and L. I wanted to see where their battle would end and how. This battle is so enticing because of their intellect each can match each other’s I.Q. and the fact that Light is a complete psychopath. Oddly though I do find Light’s character to be very interesting mainly because of his elaborate plans that always work out. Especially when Light sets three different traps for people entering his room “when I leave the room I always wait . . . then lower it about a quarter inch” (page 380). These small details are why I believe Light will triumph in the end. Even though I would like to see the man with the God complex lose. The police and L are risking their lives and that’s their downfall when Light figures this out their done for. Light’s father could also pose a major problem in future because of his involvement; this has me wondering if he will kill a member of his own family. If i...

Death Note: Post Two

As I continued to read Death Note Light or Kira's personality continued to develop in multiple ways. First is how Light acts at home as a perfect model student who goes above and beyond. This is quickly overshadowed when Light shows no remorse for killing people even when he's in the presences of his Father who is head of the NPA. He continues this even in conversation with him saying "I'm proud of you, Dad" (Page 219). Kira's personality is more of a psychopath and this is evident throughout the text. Kira likes and encourages the challenge of L; which I believe will be his downfall. Kira sends him various messages through criminals he kills this shows his cockiness and arrogance. "Love I've never know. And dessert is always apples? This is no life. I'm better off dead" (Page 212). He gives L small clues almost bragging and challenging him to find who he is before more people die. As crazy as this plan is it forces L to work together with a ...
