Vision in Silver: Post Two
Vision in Sliver is finally starting the pick up and have some interesting story lines. First is the mystery surrounding Elayne and how she was murdered and by who. This has definitely got my attention because not only was she killed, but risked putting Lizzy on the train with the others on board. I wonder what she possibly could of gotten herself into. It must have something to do with Spencer leader of the Human First and Last organization. Which all has to do with the gems found in Boo Bear. "Gods above and below, where was Elayne? And what was she doing hiding a fortune inside Boo Bear." Another interesting topic is the Human First and Last movement which is causing social unrest between the Others and Humans. This movement will definitely cause trouble leading further into this novel. Meg the trailblazer and pathfinder will be the key to defusing this situation in the future I think. With her visions and ability to find peace in the real world she is the most valuable blood prophet. Looking forward I want to hearing more from Simon Wolfgard to see if he is fit to lead the Others. And not randomly turning into wolf mode to kill humans.
I certainly think that many storylines are surfacing. I am currently most interested in Elayne’s murder and the imprisonment of the cassandra sangue. I also wonder if perhaps all of these storylines are connected; for example, perhaps Elayne found out what was happening to the cassandra sangue, and that is what lead to her murder. I am unable to figure out a reasonable explanation for the jewels inside of Boo Bear, so hopefully that matter is resolved soon. I also believe there is some sort of “love-related” storyline between Meg and Simon. It seems as though they are on their way to developing a romantic relationship, but it is complicated. I look forward to seeing where exactly that will lead as well.
ReplyDeleteThis novel does remind me of a soap opera with all the different little dramas that take place. I think the big conflict will end up revolving around Elayne and the HFL movement. The ignorance of the humans in the story remind me a lot of how humans are in the real world. I have now gotten to the part where they found out how the jewels would have ended up in boobear. Your questions will be answered. I also get romantic vibes from the 2 main characters. I feel as though their way of thinking is different than we do. So maybe their love and interest in one another is different than we can understand.
