Once Wade meets the woman be hide Aech he is pleasantly surprised that their friendship is unchangeable. His best friend is still the person he meet online and studied James Halliday with for countless hours. Exposing yourself to the OASIS experiences can have positives and negatives but always be careful with what you put out there to others.
I agree with your view points on some of the themes. Everyday people put personal information without thinking about how other people could get ahold of it. I can admit that I used to do that before I realized how potentially dangerous it could be. Obviously in the real world it’s less likely that someone would blow your house however. The fact that he still accepted Aech even though he was a she was pretty remarkable. Some people would end the friendship if they knew that someone was lying to them like that. It was smart on her end though to have her avatar be a man. It is less likely that she would be stereotyped that way.
